To be eligible to purchase insurance through the Marketplace, an individual must:
(1) Be lawfully present in the United States
(2) Reside in and/or be a resident of Colorado
(3) Not be eligible for Medicare
(4) Not be incarcerated.
Individuals who are ineligible to purchase insurance through the Marketplace can apply for others in their household who are eligible to purchase insurance. For instance, parents who are not lawfully present may enroll their children in coverage through the Marketplace as long as they indicate they, the parents, are non-applicants.
Not all individuals eligible to purchase insurance through the Marketplace will be eligible for financial assistance.
