As with any change, some people may use this confusion to attempt to wrongfully acquire personal information or to defraud Coloradans of their money. If you believe that you have been a victim of fraud or identity theft, Connect for Health Colorado wants to hear about it. The information you provide will help us assist you and may prevent similar events in the future. If you choose to have us contact you, you can expect both an email acknowledging receipt of the information you provide and a phone call within ten business days so that we can learn more about what happened.

It is important to remember that attempts to commit fraud or identity theft are not limited by state lines. The FTC has the resources and ability to investigate crimes occurring across state lines and maintains a web site and tip line for this purpose.
