Jan. 15 deadline!

To Our Valued Stakeholders,

This is it – it’s the last few days for Coloradans to enroll in a health insurance plan for 2023. So far, we reported this week that approximately 192,000 Coloradans have enrolled.

Open Enrollment ends this Sunday, January 15. Outside of Open Enrollment, Coloradans can only sign up for health insurance if they experience certain life changes, like losing health coverage, getting married, having a baby and many other circumstances.

We urge you to tell your communities and constituents to enroll before the deadline on Sunday. If someone needs advice or enrollment assistance, our network of Brokers, Assisters and our Customer Service Center are all ready to help.

Because the deadline falls on a holiday weekend, we want to remind everyone that customers who started their plan enrollment by Sunday but can’t finish may still complete it up to two business days after the deadline, which — with the holiday on Monday — is Wednesday, January 18. But after Sunday, those customers, Brokers and Assisters must contact the Customer Service Center to finish their enrollment.

Legislative Session Kick Off

Colorado lawmakers kicked off this year’s legislative session this week. It was nice to be able to connect with the Joint Health Committee so early in the session through the SMART Act hearing. During my presentation, I shared updates about Open Enrollment; the progress we are making with implementing recent policies such as Easy Enrollment, enrolling nearly 10,000 people in a plan with SilverEnhanced Savings (funding through the Health Insurance Affordability Enterprise); and that we have a strong partnership with the team at Health Care Policy and Financing to work on Medicaid unwind this year. It was an honor to talk about our work.
