Your Path to Health Insurance Starts Here
As the state’s official health insurance marketplace, Connect for Health Colorado is the best place you can go to find a plan that meets your needs and budget, as well as to get access to state- and federally-funded financial assistance (for eligible Coloradans).
Whether you’re looking to buy insurance during Open Enrollment or through a Special Enrollment Period at any time during the year, we are here to help make the process as quick and smooth as possible.
To get started, you can get in touch with one of our expert team members or a local certified Broker or Assister near you to guide you through the process OR you can do it yourself by following the steps below.
Here’s how to enroll in health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado:
-
Step 1: Create an Account
If you choose to enroll, your Connect for Colorado account allows you to maintain all of your important information in one place, and opening an account before you buy can save you time during the application process. You do not need an account to explore plans and costs.
-
Step 2: Explore Plans and Options
Using our Estimate & Explore Tool, enter the requested information to see if you may be eligible for financial assistance (including an estimate on how much you may receive), view which medical and dental plans are available to you and which plans are likely to cover your preferred doctors and prescriptions, and get estimates on your costs for the coming year based on your plan choices and income.
You will be able to continue to the enrollment application directly from the tool; if you haven’t already, you will need to create an account to complete the application. You will also have the option to set a free appointment with an expert before you start your application.
-
Step 3: Complete Your Application
Once you’re logged in, use this link to complete your enrollment application, or select the Continue With Enrollment button at the bottom of the last page in the Estimate & Explore tool. If you need help with your application, we have knowledgeable and certified experts standing by!
-
Step 4: Pay Your First Month’s Premiums
Once your application is approved (you will receive email verification), pay your first month’s premiums based on the instructions from the insurance company whose plan(s) you’ve chosen. Paying the first month’s premiums ensures that your coverage will begin on time.
