Last month, the Colorado Division of Insurance <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.colorado.gov\/news-releases-consumer-advisories\/colorado-division-of-insurance-ending-plans-from-friday-health-as\">announced<\/a> that it had asked the courts to move Friday Health Plans into liquidation, ending coverage for all Friday Health Plans customers on August 31, 2023. <a href=\"https:\/\/connectforhealthco.com\/\">Connect for Health Colorado<\/a>, the state\u2019s official health insurance marketplace, continues to urge Friday Health Plans customers to <strong>sign up for a new plan on or before this Thursday, August 31, to avoid a gap in coverage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through July 2023, there were roughly 24,500 Friday Health Plans enrollments on Connect for Health Colorado\u2019s marketplace and an additional 700 Friday Health Plans enrollments on Colorado Connect, its public benefit corporation and online platform. <strong>As of August 29, about 69 percent of those Connect for Health Colorado customers have re-enrolled in a new plan<\/strong>. About 64 percent of those Colorado Connect customers have re-enrolled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m grateful so many customers who were impacted by Friday Health Plans\u2019 mid-year exit have successfully enrolled in a new plan. The retention we\u2019re seeing so far is really promising, and there are still a few days left to avoid a gap in coverage,\u201d said Connect for Health Colorado\u2019s CEO, Kevin Patterson. \u201cIf you need help securing coverage for September, my message is simple: contact Connect for Health Colorado right away, and we\u2019ll guide you through every step of the application and enrollment process.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last time Colorado\u2019s marketplace experienced a mid-year plan exit was Colorado HealthOp in 2016. At that time, 52 percent of impacted customers re-enrolled in a new plan. When Bright Health and Oscar Health exited the market last year, approximately 70 percent of customers in those plans chose new coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When to Enroll<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enroll in a new plan <strong>on or before Thursday to have coverage that starts September 1, 2023.<\/strong> Friday Health Plans customers can also enroll after their plan ends (any time before October 31) but doing so will result in a gap in coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><strong>If you enroll&#8230;<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>Your new plan coverage starts&#8230;<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Anytime in August 2023<\/td><td>September 1, 2023<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Anytime in September 2023<\/td><td>October 1, 2023<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Anytime in October 2023<\/td><td>November 1, 2023<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Help and Questions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect for Health Colorado offers free enrollment assistance from certified Brokers and community-based Assisters.
