Kevin Patterson, Chief Executive Officer of <a href=\"https:\/\/connectforhealthco.com\/\">Connect for Health Colorado<\/a>, the state\u2019s official health insurance marketplace, released the following statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe availability of standardized plans will provide Coloradans with even better plan choice and more competitive benefits. As Colorado\u2019s Marketplace, it\u2019s our responsibility to make it as easy as possible for people to understand their options and enroll in the right plan for their needs, and this bill helps make that job a little easier. I\u2019m looking forward to seeing the good ideas from our business, insurance and advocate partners as they develop the details of the plan. We stand ready to implement this exciting, new initiative on our Marketplace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, the bill will undergo the rulemaking process, during which Colorado\u2019s insurance commissioner will collaborate with stakeholders to develop the details of the standardized plan. The standardized plans will be offered on Connect for Health Colorado\u2019s Marketplace, with plan benefits beginning as early as Jan. 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">###<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Connect for Health Colorado <\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect for Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace.&nbsp; Since 2013, we\u2019ve been helping individuals, families and small employers compare plans, apply for financial help and buy health insurance. As Colorado\u2019s official health insurance marketplace, we are the only place to apply for financial help to lower the monthly cost of premiums. Customers can shop online; get help by phone or online chat from Customer Service Center representatives; and access expert help from a statewide network of certified Brokers and community-based Assisters.
