{"id":49258,"date":"2020-01-17T08:59:56","date_gmt":"2020-01-17T15:59:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uat-internal.connectforhealthco.com\/?p=49258"},"modified":"2020-01-17T08:59:58","modified_gmt":"2020-01-17T15:59:58","slug":"nearly-167000-coloradans-signed-up-for-2020-health-insurance-coverage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/connectforhealthco.com\/es\/nearly-167000-coloradans-signed-up-for-2020-health-insurance-coverage\/","title":{"rendered":"Nearly 167,000 Coloradans Signed Up for 2020 Health Insurance Coverage"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>DENVER<\/strong> \u2014 Nearly\n167,000 Coloradans signed up for a health insurance plan through the state\u2019s\nofficial Marketplace by the end of the Open Enrollment period, according to\npreliminary data released today by Connect for Health Colorado\u00ae. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the 2020 plan selections, about 20\npercent are by customers who are new to Connect for Health Colorado and 80\npercent are returning customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis has been another successful Open\nEnrollment period,\u201d said Chief Executive Officer Kevin Patterson. \u201cNow the work\ncontinues to increase access, affordability and choice for residents. We are\nfully engaged with partners at the state and in the legislature to advise and\nhelp implement innovative approaches to lower the cost of health care and\nincrease choice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside of the Open Enrollment period,\nColoradans can only sign up for a health insurance plan through the Marketplace\nif they experience a \u201cQualified Life Event,\u201d like losing job-based insurance,\nlosing Medicaid, or certain family changes. Coloradans can continue to get help\nsigning up for coverage from certified brokers and community-based assisters\nduring their Special Enrollment period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">###<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Connect for\nHealth Colorado <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect\nfor Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado\nGeneral Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace.&nbsp; Since\n2013, we\u2019ve been helping individuals, families and small employers compare\nplans, apply for financial help and buy health insurance.
