Approximately 68 percent of applicants qualify\nfor financial help to lower monthly premium costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\nam encouraged by the pace of sign-ups so far,\u201d said Connect for Health Colorado\u00ae\nCEO Kevin Patterson.&nbsp; \u201cHowever, it\u2019s not too late to get covered for 2020.\nI urge you to take advantage of the final deadline and all the support we offer\nby visiting our site, giving us a call, or finding local help in your\ncommunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nOpen Enrollment period in Colorado ends Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020. Residents who\nsign up for a health insurance plan by the deadline will receive a Feb. 1, 2020\ncoverage start date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside\nof the Open Enrollment period, Coloradans can <strong>only<\/strong> sign up for a health\ninsurance plan through the Marketplace if they experience a \u201cQualified Life\nEvent,\u201d like losing job-based insurance, losing Medicaid, or certain family\nchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">###<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About Connect for\nHealth Colorado <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connect\nfor Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado\nGeneral Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace.&nbsp; Since\n2013, we\u2019ve been helping individuals, families and small employers compare\nplans, apply for financial help and buy health insurance.
