DENVER<\/strong> \u2013 Oscar, a health\ninsurance company already available in several states, will offer individual\nand family health insurance plans for the first time in Colorado starting in\n2020. That brings the number of companies offering health plans through Colorado\u2019s\nMarketplace to eight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded\nin 2012, Oscar currently offers individual\nhealth insurance plans in nine states and is expanding into six additional states\nfor the 2020 plan year. In Colorado, the company is offering coverage at the Bronze,\nSilver, and Gold levels to individuals and families in Denver metro area\ncounties, including Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe welcome Oscar as a partner in\nour Marketplace this year because it means residents have greater choice when\nit comes to shopping,\u201d said Connect for Health Colorado Chief Executive Officer\nKevin Patterson. \u201cWith lower rates and new competition in the most populous\nareas of our state, we hope consumers check out all of their plan options before\nmaking a selection for the new year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are confident that our benefits, including the ability to call a\ndoctor for free any time of day and support from personalized care teams, will\nresonate with Denver consumers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All qualified health plans and\ndental plans for the 2020 plan year are now available to preview in the Quick\nCost and Plan Finder tool<\/a>. The anonymous\nbrowsing tools compares plans and prices based on factors beyond the premium. Consumers\ncan also get an estimate of the financial help they could receive to lower\nmonthly costs or out-of-pocket costs, which is available only through the\nMarketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open\nEnrollment for 2020 health insurance will begin Nov. 1 and continue through Jan.\n15, 2020. Enrollment must be completed by Dec. 15 to take effect Jan. 1, 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
