{"id":2561,"date":"2013-10-03T17:12:00","date_gmt":"2013-10-03T23:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/?p=2561"},"modified":"2014-04-25T08:51:55","modified_gmt":"2014-04-25T14:51:55","slug":"connect-health-colorado-update-oct-3-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/connectforhealthco.com\/es\/connect-health-colorado-update-oct-3-2013\/","title":{"rendered":"Connect for Health Colorado Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CONTACT:<\/strong><br \/>\nBen Davis 303-522-6790, ben@onsightpa.com<br \/>\nMyung Oak Kim, 720-496-2531, mkim@ConnectforHealthCO.com<\/p>\n<p><strong>DENVER, CO<\/strong> \u2013 Here is an update about the first two days at Connect for Health Colorado, the state\u2019s new health insurance marketplace for individuals, families and small businesses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first two days of operations at Connect for Health Colorado were full of activity, with thousands of consumers visiting our website and calling our customer support network,\u201d said CEO Patty Fontneau. \u201cWhile there have been some challenges, we are pleased to see that Coloradans are looking at their options, shopping and signing up for health plans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Activity for period between 8 am October 1 and end of day on October 2:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Unique website visitors: 107,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Calls and chats with Customer Service Center Representatives: 6,400<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Accounts created: 8,400<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Going forward, data will be released weekly or monthly, according to a schedule approved by the Board in September.<\/p>\n<p>The English and Spanish websites have been open since 8 am Tuesday, serving individuals, families and small businesses for coverage that will take effect as early as January 1, 2014. Open enrollment continues until March 31, 2014. Individuals and families can choose from up to 150 private health insurance plans from 10 carriers and small employers can create small group plans from up to 92 health insurance plans provided by six carriers. New financial assistance will be available to nearly 500,000 Coloradans to reduce costs.<\/p>\n<p>Due to high volume of activity, the website has experienced intermittent error messages, which continue to be resolved. Our Customer Service Center Representatives are available by phone from 7 am to 8 pm, Mondays through Saturdays, at 1-855-PLANS-4-YOU (855-752-6749). You can locate an Assistance Site near you to contact for in-person assistance and you can find a list of more than 1,400 certified licensed health insurance agents and brokers for advice. The marketplace is a public, non-profit entity that was established by a 2011 state law.
