Individuals enrolled in coverage through Connect for Health Colorado may cancel (terminate) their coverage outside of the Open Enrollment Period. However, they will not be able to enroll in a new plan until the next open enrollment period unless they have a Life Change Event. In most cases, individuals who cancel their coverage will see the termination effective the first of the next month. For example, if an individual cancels their coverage on July 20, they will be covered through the end of July and their termination will be effective August 1.
