Denver, CO – Connect for Health Colorado will join Boomers Leading Change in Health and Central Presbyterian to connect with and inform religious communities of health coverage options and benefits available through Colorado’s health insurance marketplace during Health Coverage Sunday on Sunday, December 1.

Health Coverage Sunday will feature several outreach events at Denver religious communities. Each event will provide opportunities for Coloradans to meet with Certified Health Coverage Guides and learn more about coverage options and financial assistance through Connect for Health Colorado.

“We are excited to partner with the faith-based community and partners to inform Coloradans about the importance of having health insurance and the plans that are available to them through Connect for Health Colorado,” said CEO Patty Fontneau. “It’s important for every Coloradan to know their options, and events like Health Coverage Sunday are a valuable way to provide education and ways to connect to our customer support network.”

Outreach activities will be held after services at Radiance Church in Commerce City and the following Denver churches: Central Presbyterian, Capitol Heights Presbyterian, First Unitarian Denver, Trinity United Methodist and St. Paul United Methodist. The Colorado Council of Churches and other religious organizations are supporting Health Coverage Sunday and ongoing outreach activities. Boomers Leading Change in Health and Central Presbyterian are Certified Assistance Sites for Connect for Health Colorado. Assistance Sites employ Certified Health Coverage Guides who provide in-person assistance to customers of the Marketplace. Other organizations interested in participating can contact Connect for Health Colorado at [email protected].
